Feel Unique Haul

FeelUniqueHaul

Back again with yet another haul! I’ve been spending my hard earned cash on some items from My Beauty Wish List and I gotta save, it’s satisfying to have got my hands on some things I’ve been wanting for  a while. Especially when I got some great deals on them too! This time I raided Feel Unique… Twice!

Freedom Makeup Haul & First Impressions

FreedomMakeup

There’s a brand spanking new makeup company on the block – Freedom Makeup. Owned by the much loved and highly affordable Makeup Revolution, Freedom Makeup are the professional sister company. When they launch last week they had not one, but two promotions running and I thought it would be rude not to take a look at the site at least. Upon seeing that the prices were equally as good as Revolution, I couldn’t resist a little haul!

A Little Me Time

Me Time

This week has been really busy at work and by far the most hectic since I started my job three months ago. By Thursday, I was feeling like I looked a complete mess so I took some time out that evening to have a little pamper session.

The Body Shop Haul

TBS Haul

At the weekend, I realised that my Body Shop loyalty card was about to expire and that I had an unclaimed reward. So I decided to take a look in store and see if anything took my fancy as I needed to spend £10 in order to claim the £5 gift.

NOTD: Risk Taker

Risk Taker

First of all I’d like to say sorry for being a bit absent this week, I keep getting headaches! As I work on computers all day, I’ve been trying to avoid screens in the evening to try and break the cluster. Anyway, on to the exciting stuff.

Pay Day Haulin’

PayDayHaul

I have to confess, this being my first proper full time pay cheque in well over a year, I did get a tad carried away. (The triple points offer at Boots didn’t help!) But at the same time, I stocked up on some essentials and definitely deserved a few treats. After all, I have been working hard!

The Last Glossybox? – April Glossybox Review

April Glossy

I got this month’s Glossybox using up the points I had on my account for referrals and answering their surveys. Considering that I didn’t like the sneaked product this month, I’m not really sure why I chose to get this box. I guess  because I had been waiting for them to do another themed box, as they are usually better.

Primark, TK Maxx & Lush Haul

Primark Haul

This weekend, I was indeed of one thing from Lush so walked into town to grab it. Two hours of wondering around later, I came back with a bit more than I had initially intended… Always seems to go that way!

NOTD: Liquorice & Couture Noir

Liquorice Noir

Having finished working in retail a few weeks ago, I am so pleased with how quickly my nails have grown. So I decided to test out my new nail varnish from my recent French Beauty Haul. Keep reading

NOTD: Honey Bee

honey bee

This is a more unusual nail varnish choice for me, but there was something about Ciate’s Honey Bee that made me want to try it. I got my bottle in T K Maxx on sale for £3.99 a few weeks back and wasted no time in putting it on my nails. Honey Bee is a pink toned pale brown nude with golden shimmer.

NOTD: Emerald Tower

Emerald Tower
I bought this Lakur by Londontown nail varnish a few months ago, wore it once and then forgot about it. The reason for that was because I was on the hunt for the perfect green. Not that this isn’t a lovely shade, but green is my favourite colour and I can get quite picky about finding the right one. But when I saw this in my box of polishes the other day, I was really drawn to it and decided to give it another chance.

NOTD: Essie Liquorice

IMG_1876

At first look, this may seem like a very boring manicure and I guess in some ways it is, but I am a big fan of dark nails and regularly wear black varnish. Recently, I purchased this bottle of Essie in the shade Liquorice on a whim, as my other black is quite old and is getting a bit gloopy.

NOTD Ft. Essie and Sally Hansen

I’ve mentioned a few times on here before that I am terrible for chipping, smudging or otherwise ruining my nails within 24 hours of painting them. In fact, I’ve gone so far as to say I find it impossible to make a manicure last that long. Those days are now behind me! Thanks to these great tips from Anomalous Me Beauty, whose blog is really worth following if you’re not already!

I picked out my high end products to give this a go, as I know from many many reviews that they’re meant to be a lot better lasting than I’ve ever managed.
