Christmas Beauty Haul

So this is a bit of an odd post in some ways, as I was going to post a ‘What I Got For Christmas/Birthday’ thing, but have been working a lot (yay retail at xmas…) and predominantly got books & dvds. I am very pleased with everything I got*, but I don’t want to bore you all with them. Then I went sale shopping & found nothing in most stores, so I have combined those beauty items with the others for one picture heavy beauty post!

*except maybe a christmas cake liquer I got for my birthday. I’m scared to try it.

My 2015 Life Goals

IMG_2101.JPG

For some reason, I really don’t like the idea of New Years Resolutions, but will happily think of some goals for the upcoming year. I think the difference is that a resolution is an idea people have that they then don’t stick to (e.g. stop swearing) whereas a goal is an achievable target. Am I the only one who thinks this?

Empties 4

IMG_2080

I think this is my biggest ever empties post, I’ve had a few things coming close to finishing for a while which I’ve finally managed to use up! Some of these are firm favourites which I’m sorry to see go, but others I am glad to see gone.

Switching To Sulphate Free Shampoo – Reviews

IMG_2076

Wow has it really been a month and a half since I last did a hair related post? I can’t believe how quickly time is passing me by at the moment. In my last post about switching to sulphate free, I promised a more long term update and I have now had chance to try out a couple of the other shampoos that I mentioned were on the market, so I’m going to do some quick reviews on them for you.

Little Lush Christmas Haul

IMG_2062

In my last post, I talked about how I find candles to be a great way of relaxing, especially in the winter months. Another thing I like to do is have a nice long soak in the bath (again with a book, it’s such an easy way to escape from it all). My favourite bath products at the moment are definitely from Lush. It was only a couple of months ago that I made my first Lush purchase and since then I’ve been steadily growing a small selection of their products – mainly the bubble bars! I’ve been really liking trying out some different products from their seasonal range and decided to grab a couple more bits before they disappear from stores after Christmas.

Yankee Candle Christmas Cookie Review

IMG_2050

One of my favourite things to help me relax on a cold winter’s evening is to light a candle. I often read or watch a favourite show whilst one is burning, as the comforting scent spreads throughout the room. Somehow, that makes it seem so much warmer and cosier.

December Glossybox First Impressions

IMG_2041

Is it just me, or has the past month passed by in a bit of a blur? Because somehow it’s Glossybox time again and I haven’t actually had chance to try out everything in my last box! I know, I know, it’s really bad, but hey this month’s box is beautifully decorated for the festive season and contains some lovely products.

Soap & Glory The Perfect Ten Palette

IMG_1909

I am so impatient to share my new eye shadow palette with you all! I’ve been thinking about buying a nude palette for quite a while now and was looking at saving up for a Naked Palette at the end of the month, but I found this beaut in Boots the other day. I left without it, came home and looked it up and regretted not buying it, so I rushed back to get it before work yesterday. And I am so glad I did.

The Body Shop Glazed Apple Body Polish Review

IMG_1908

Is it just me or has this year flown by? But as it is now December I wanted to share with you this beautiful body polish I picked up recently from The Body Shop’s Christmas range. This year they have brought out three seasonal scents – frosted cranberry, vanilla brulee and glazed apple – all of which smell delicious, but I fell instantly in love with this particular scent and bought not only the polish, but the shower gel and lip balm too!
