It’s been a few months since I last did a favourites post, as I felt like I was saying the same things over and over. However I’ve had some recent additions to my stash and rediscovered an old favourite which I want to share with you all.

2014 Beauty Discoveries

IMG_2120

Happy new year everyone! I hope you all had a good night and weren’t suffering too badly yesterday! I went down to London and had an amazing time catching up with uni friends, most of whom I hadn’t seen since graduation. It was so nice to see them all again and actually do something for new year – I usually don’t.

I thought I’d kick off the new year by sharing some of my favourite beauty discoveries from the past year.

August Favourites

So as you’re reading this, it is not August anymore, but hey I’m only a day late and I am close to being back up to date with the blog, thanks to a morning spent writing, scheduling and drafting. As I’m writing this it’s still August so let’s just pretend for a minute shall we?

There’s been a few products I have been reaching for repeatedly this month I want to share with you. Some of them you will have seen on the blog before, but they really are great products!

July Favourites

It’s that time again! Here’s the products I’ve been loving this month.

la_roche_posay_effaclar_lotion_product_front_1First up is the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Clarifying Lotion 200ml (£11). This contains a cleansing agent and micro-exfoliant to help unblock and reduce the size of pores. I use this in the evenings after removing my make up and I’m often surprised at how dirty the cotton pad is after using this, which just shows how much make up gets left in my pores! It leaves my skin feeling a little tight afterwards, but this soon wears off. I’ve had my bottle for months and I’m starting to get a bit low now, but I’m already on the look out for it on offer to buy another one!

June Favourites

As it’s the end of the month, I decided to do a June Favourites post! I love reading about people’s essential products, so hopefully you’ll enjoy reading about mine!

My hair essential this month, and basically every month since I discovered it, is this Argan Oil Hair Treatment from Boots. Its £12.99 for 100ml, which sounds expensive, but one bottle easily lasts me six months! My hair is quite long and thick, so I use six pumps every time I wash my hair (every 2-3 days). If you have less or thinner hair than me then you’ll need less product so it’ll last you even longer! I cannot live without this oil. It makes the knots fall out my hair, makes it softer, shiner, less frizzy, dries quicker, nourishes and smells like candy. In my opinion it’s worth every penny. (I have tried a cheaper alternative and not only was it rubbish, but it made my hair incredibly greasy).
