Salcura Antiac Daily Facial Wash Review

Salcura

Today I’m going to be talking about a product with a RRP of ¬£9.99 which I got for 99p through an offer advertised on facebook. I can’t find that this is still active, which is a shame if not but it’s a product worth talking about anyway. The product in question is the Salcura Antiac Daily Facial Wash, which I bought because my skin has been breaking out a lot and has been rather painfully lately.

The Best Translucent Powder: Makeup Revolution vs Freedom vs Rimmel

Translusent Powder

I think a comparison review is always a helpful read when you’re looking for a new product to try. A translucent face powder is a very basic product which I’m sure many of you use. I’ve picked up three very affordable drugstore ones to show you just how different they can be.

The Melt Crowd July Review

TMC July

The Melt Crowd is a brand new subscription service from Flamingo Candles. Well, I say brand new, this is their second month. I sadly discovered it one day too late to get my hands on June’s box (which was a capped number for their first month and sold out before release!) so I’ve been waiting pretty impatiently for this for the last month… But boy oh boy was it worth it!

Soap & Glory Shampoo & Conditioner Review

S&G S&C

Back in October I made the switch to sulphate free shampoo and have found that it really agrees with my hair – it helps my colour last longer, allows me to go an extra day between washes and is overall shinier and healthier. I scoured the shelves of Boots and The Body Shop (among others) and have tried out several different ones since then, but nothing was as good as the beloved Liz Earle offering. Until now.

Freedom Makeup Haul & First Impressions

FreedomMakeup

There’s a brand spanking new makeup company on the block – Freedom Makeup. Owned by the much loved and highly affordable Makeup Revolution, Freedom Makeup are the professional sister company. When they launch last week they had not one, but two promotions running and I thought it would be rude not to take a look at the site at least. Upon seeing that the prices were equally as good as Revolution, I couldn’t resist a little haul!

Makeup Revolution Brand First Impressions & FOTD

MUR 1st Impressions

I’ve been wanting to write this post for a few days now, but I wanted to make sure I had time to sit and write it out properly. I’ve always known it was going to be a fairly hefty one considering the amount of Makeup Revolution products I have. I hadn’t tried anything from them until a month ago, when I won a giveaway hosted by Rachael from Helpless Whilst Drying and I also purchased two individual eyeshadows in the huge 3 for 2 on all make up offer at Superdrug.

Empties 7

Empties 7

It’s not been that long since my last Empties post. In fact, I’m writing this up more than a week in advance because I am dying to throw all of this out! (Except the Lush pot, keeping that for their trade in scheme.) Despite having had 11 items in the previous post, I’ve had most of this sitting around for a few weeks already. I used most of it up within a couple of days of blogging the last lot and have only added 1 or 2 since then.

Sephora Eyeshadow Crayon Swatch & Review

EyeCrayon

I picked up this pencil eyeshadow when I was in France, as sadly we don’t have Sephora here in the UK. I actually got two shades, but this has been by far my favourite. This is 04 Taupe and I also got 15 Purple, which you can see in my French Beauty Haul. You can use these as both an eyeshadow and an eyeliner. I have only tried them as eyeshadows, but think I will try the purple as an eyeliner soon because the colour is quite strong for an all over shadow.

NOTD: Risk Taker

Risk Taker

First of all I’d like to say sorry for being a bit absent this week, I keep getting headaches! As I work on computers all day, I’ve been trying to avoid screens in the evening to try and break the cluster. Anyway, on to the exciting stuff.

What’s In My Shower?

Shower

I saw this great post on Lulu’s Beauty Spot a few weeks back and knew as soon as I read it that I wanted to do my own version of it. According to Lulu, this was once a classic blog question, much like what’s in my handbag, but is one I haven’t seen before! Have I completely missed this craze?

Empties 6

Empties 6

It’s Empties time again – and it’s another big one! Lately it seems like I’ve been keeping hold of a couple of used up things for ages and then all of a sudden this happens. Plus in the week since I took these photos I’ve already used up a couple of other things. I’m definitely an everything at once kind of product finisher.

The Last Glossybox? – April Glossybox Review

April Glossy

I got this month’s Glossybox using up the points I had on my account for referrals and answering their surveys. Considering that I didn’t like the sneaked product this month, I’m not really sure why I chose to get this box. I guess ¬†because I had been waiting for them to do another themed box, as they are usually better.

Best Micellar Water: Bioderma vs Garnier

MicellarWaters

These have got to be the two most popular Micellar Waters on the market at the moment and I am lucky enough to have both in my stash. I’ve used up a whole bottle of each and decided it was definitely time for a highend vs drugstore comparison of two fantastic products. Continue reading

Nuxe Creme Fraiche Hydrating Mask Review

Nuxe mask

Happy Easter everyone! I think it’s about time I shared my thoughts on the much renowned Nuxe face mask, as I have been using this since October. This mask claims to provide instant freshness and hydrate even the driest of skin.

My Pink Parcel Experience

PParcelReview

Well this isn’t quite the post I was expecting to write on Pink Parcel this month. You may have seen a post I did earlier in the month where I had discovered that Pink Parcel were offering a free box to new subscribers for International Women’s Day. Keep reading
