I think a comparison review is always a helpful read when you’re looking for a new product to try. A translucent face powder is a very basic product which I’m sure many of you use. I’ve picked up three very affordable drugstore ones to show you just how different they can be.
There’s a brand spanking new makeup company on the block – Freedom Makeup. Owned by the much loved and highly affordable Makeup Revolution, Freedom Makeup are the professional sister company. When they launch last week they had not one, but two promotions running and I thought it would be rude not to take a look at the site at least. Upon seeing that the prices were equally as good as Revolution, I couldn’t resist a little haul!

I’ve been wanting to write this post for a few days now, but I wanted to make sure I had time to sit and write it out properly. I’ve always known it was going to be a fairly hefty one considering the amount of Makeup Revolution products I have. I hadn’t tried anything from them until a month ago, when I won a giveaway hosted by Rachael from Helpless Whilst Drying and I also purchased two individual eyeshadows in the huge 3 for 2 on all make up offer at Superdrug.

As I said in my last haul, (which was uhm, only two weeks ago…) I have been very much enjoying having some money to my name as this is my first month with full time pay. I have definitely gotten a bit carried away, but with all these new bits I should be set for a while. Hopefully this will have gotten it out my system. I have to confess, this being my first proper full time pay cheque in well over a year, I did get a tad carried away. (The triple points offer at Boots didn’t help!) But at the same time, I stocked up on some essentials and definitely deserved a few treats. After all, I have been working hard!

Today I want to talk about two items that are absolute essentials in my make up bag, which I find myself repurchasing as soon as they seem like they’re getting low as I just cannot bear to go without them. Yet, neither has had a proper review on my blog before! So I decided to create a new series for items I find myself repurchasing every time without fail.

As in reviews of two eyeliners from the brand Seventeen, not seventeen reviews of different eyeliners! That would be a pretty long post… Both of these eyeliners I got in a gift set in the January sale as featured in my Christmas Beauty Haul. The set contained four eyeliners for only £6.
So guys, I’ve been tagged by Glam Jar to do a drugstore favourites post. I personally love to shop at places like Boots, because of the variety of things on offer with a range of brands which go from cheap and cheerful to high end in the price range. Although I tend to steer clear of actually buying things in the high end price bracket because I find it hard to justify spending so much money on one item. In fact, out of all the make up I currently own, only two items would be classed as premium products…
