A Little Me Time

Me Time

This week has been really busy at work and by far the most hectic since I started my job three months ago. By Thursday, I was feeling like I looked a complete mess so I took some time out that evening to have a little pamper session.

Liquorice Noir

Having finished working in retail a few weeks ago, I am so pleased with how quickly my nails have grown. So I decided to test out my new nail varnish from my recent French Beauty Haul. Keep reading

French Beauty Haul

French Beauty Haul

On Sunday, I got back from a few days away in Brittany, France. After booking the trip, I wasted no time in looking up where I would be able to find a Sephora and, as luck would have it, there was one in Saint Malo, where I was getting the ferry back from. It turned out to be a much smaller store than I was expecting, so I also grabbed a couple of things in the local supermarket (which was cheaper than the pharmacy – I check there too!)

NOTD: Honey Bee

honey bee

This is a more unusual nail varnish choice for me, but there was something about Ciate’s Honey Bee that made me want to try it. I got my bottle in T K Maxx on sale for £3.99 a few weeks back and wasted no time in putting it on my nails. Honey Bee is a pink toned pale brown nude with golden shimmer.

10 Christmas Gifts Under £10

Gift List

We all know that Christmas can be an expensive time of year. I personally have 12 people to buy for as well as several friends and family members’ birthdays in the surrounding months. Budgeting is therefore very important and trying to find a great gift on a budget can be really difficult. So I have put together this little list of some cool gift ideas I have found for £10 or less. I hope you’ll forgive the 25p over spend on the last item!

My Birthday & Christmas Wish List

Bday & Xmas Wishlist

It’s that time of year again, where people have started asking me what I’d like for my birthday/christmas and what exactly my plans are. I am very fortunate and there is nothing I really need, so I’ve been struggling a bit to come up with answers this year. The thing that absolutely tops my list is to be working as a designer, but as this is something they can’t get for me, I’ve put together a list. Although I have cheated slightly and put some things on here which I know my mum has bought me!

Beauty Haul & Spending Ban

I guess I should really call this post ‘Beauty Haul Plus Gifts From Mum’ because it also includes some items my mum picked up for me whilst she was in France last week. Lucky me! I’ve picked these bits and bobs up over the past few weeks, some of which were at a great price.

Beauty Haul! Ft. Fragrance Direct, The Body Shop & Boots

Yesterday was my first pay day in almost a year and a half! I might only be working part time, but seeing some money actually going into my bank account was incredibly exciting (and a rarity since finishing uni) so I decided to go do some shopping. I’ve split this into sections so you can see what I got from each shop.

Fragrance Direct

Fragrance Direct is an online shop, which sells a wide range of beauty products at discounted rates. Over the weekend, they had a free shipping offer which I took advantage of. Standard shipping is meant to take 5-7 working days and I got mine in 4. Very impressed! And everything was well packaged too, so it’s definitely worth checking them out. Here’s what I got:
