Nuxe Reve De Miel Lip Balm Review

This is the first item I’ve reviewed from my recent French Beauty Haul, I haven’t gotten round to trying out all of the items yet, but this is by far my favourite out of the ones I have.

The Nuxe Reve De Miel has quite the reputation among bloggers and is said to be a favourite of models. At €8 (roughly £5.80), which was a pretty good price to get it at, I had pretty high hopes for it.

I have a honey version of this classic lip balm, containing 79.5% natural ingredients. Those include rosehip and sweet almond oil, shea butter, grapefruit essence and, of course, honey. With a list like that, you just know it’s got to be good.. and boy is it!

A small amount of this goes a long way, taking its time to really sink into my lips and quickly took them from so dry and peely that I thought they might bleed soon to nourished, smooth and soft. Despite having been using this a couple of times a day for two weeks, I have barely made a dent in the jar, so it is clear to me that this is going to last me a long time.

As for the packaging, it is both practical and luxurious – the jar is frosted glass with a white plastic lid and comes boxed in classic cream Nuxe packaging with an image of honeycomb on the top. To top it all off, Nuxe also sponsor bee hives to help protect our much needed bees.

Overall, I am really pleased that I decided to get this balm. I did debate it quite a bit in the stores, as I found a tub of the original balm first for an extra couple of pound, which I thought was a lot to spend on a lip balm. I see now that this is so full of wonderful ingredients and will last a long time that is 100% worth the money. Next time, I won’t be hesitant at all.
