I guess I should really call this post ‘Beauty Haul Plus Gifts From Mum’ because it also includes some items my mum picked up for me whilst she was in France last week. Lucky me! I’ve picked these bits and bobs up over the past few weeks, some of which were at a great price.

I’ve had my box for just over a week now and have had chance to try out the products in it. Some are definite winners. Others, not so much.

I don’t think it’s any secret that Black Milk Clothing is my all time favourite clothing brand. They have such a great range of clothes covering everything from every day staples, perfect gear for a night out and licensed pieces to make your inner nerd squeal with delight. All whilst being high quality and ethically made in Australia. It made perfect sense to me then, that they needed to be the focus of their own post, and as I am trying to include more fashion posts in my blog this seemed like the place to start. Here are my top ten items, in no particular order, that I have been lusting after for some time now.

I’ve been pretty bad at keeping up with my tags and award nominations lately, so I’d like to apologise about that. I was nominated for this tag by Aisha from The Beauty Linguist over a month ago now, but this seems like a fun little post to do, so here goes.

Another month, another amazing Glossybox! This month’s box has a pop art theme and to my surprise came in this awesome yellow carton. How cool?! (Also I hope you appreciate my Studio Ghibli plushies in the background there haha) Inside was this gorgeous box design, was was available in a few different colours.

So this month I told myself that I didn’t really need any more beauty products and that I’d keep my money to sort my car out (MOT time!) and for going to Comic Con. Comic Con hasn’t happened yet, but the MOT went surprisingly well, so, inevitably, I went shopping.

I’ve been making a big effort recently to use up my old products that have been lying around for ages. I, like a lot of people, buy new things when I start getting low and then get too excited about the new product to make sure I use up the old one before I start using it, so I’ve been trying to change that. The result? Another small pile of empties has cropped up so time for some reviews!

I was recently challenged to create a game day outfit for the upcoming baseball season. I wanted a casual look, so decided to use a simple cap to show support for a team. Fanatics is an online retailer of officially licensed sports gear and they have a huge selection of hats to choose from.

I know I promised a comparison post of the Botanics Micellar Water and the Garnier Micellar Water ages ago, but it seemed worth waiting to add the Nivea one into the mix after I got it in last month’s Glossybox. (See my post about that incredible box here). So here it is at last!

I finally did it! I went into Lush and bought some things all without sneezing! This for me is a small miracle. I’ve always seen such great reviews of Lush products, but the store itself has always put me off. However, one of my friends at work used to work at Lush and decided it was time to take me along and pass on some of her expertise, and I have to say I loved having my own personal assistant to introduce me to the store properly.
I don’t think I made it much of a secret when I received this box that it was by far my favourite Glossybox to date. I may have only had three, but this is a whole other level for them. Read on to see if I still love it as much now that I have had chance to put the products to the test!

As I mentioned before, this is my first box from You Beauty Discovery and I’ve now had plenty of time to go through and give these products a go. That means its time for some reviews!
It’s that time again! I’ve had chance to use everything in my Birchbox now and get a better idea of which products work for me and which don’t.

Some of you might remember this from a haul post I did a little while back. I love the Aussie brand anyway, so couldn’t resist picking this up when it was on offer in Boots for £3.33 down from £4.99. Aussie Miracle Dry Shampoo 180ml comes in a few varieties, but I got the Colour Mate one. I’ve been using this a lot, especially since I used up the last of my Batiste, so I thought I’d let you all know how it shapes up.
Okay so this is the promised follow-up post to let you all know how I’m getting on with changing to sulphate free shampoo. If you haven’t seen it already, you can read about why I switched and how I got in during the first week here.
I did originally say that I would do an update after a week, however I felt like there wasn’t really much to say apart from giving more unanswered questions so I’ve waited to do an extra week to give you all a better idea of what it’s been like to make the switch. The products pictured above are from The Body Shop’s Rainforest range (£4.50 each).
